Moore, Molly - Dean of Students

Mrs. Molly Moore

I am a passionate educator dedicated to nurturing the learning and development of young children. A proud graduate of East Carolina University, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Child Development, as well as a master’s in Elementary Education. I’m also a former licensed play therapist, with experience supporting children from birth to age three during their most critical stages of growth.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of teaching 3rd and 4th grade, serving as an interventionist, and working as a curriculum coach—roles that have deepened my commitment to creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences. For the past 10–12 years, I’ve also taught Elementary Education courses at Beaufort County Community College, where I love mentoring future educators. Most recently, I completed the Leadership Cohort with Dr. Cheeseman, further strengthening my leadership in education.

I’ve been married for 23 years and am the proud parent of three children who have attended Washington City Schools, with two now at East Carolina University. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, boating, and traveling.

I look forward to serving Eastern Elementary School as Dean of Students this year and continuing to support students, families, and staff in a meaningful way.
